As we continue on our Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Preview we have no choice but to figure out what's going on with Izzy. We were left at the end of Season 2 believing she wouldn't be back after killing Denny. She'll be back. Killing off a main character is the kind of things that sets apart the boys from the men. Since I only watch three shows I can only point out that main characters have died in both Desperate Housewives (Rex--at the end of Season 1) and Lost (pick a character/episode). Izzy simple can't be gone. She plays a very important role that no other female in the cast plays: she has issues that a) she knows about b) she lets other people know about c) actually cause surface level problems. Sure Meredith, Christina, Addison, etc all have their share of problems but none of them wear them on their sleeves. Izzy, in a sick way, represents what the audience wants--a character who is either not very deep or just upfront with herself than anyone else on the show. Izzy will be back.
