Scosche MotorMouth II - Bluetooth calling to your AUX input Car Stereo
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 2:34 PM

This is a Bluetooth hands free car accessory for your Bluetooth enabled phone. Forget all those FM transmitters that never work that well this little microphone plugs right into your AUX jack in your head unit. So you don't have to worry about what radio station your on or what call quality your going to get. When you get a call simply snap your radio into the aux setting and hit the multi-function button on the mic and your set. You don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket to answer.

The Microphone uses DSP echo cancellation to filter out road noise to get a nice clean sound from the microphone. You can also stream your music wirelessly to your car stereo or turn by turn direction from a GPS app. You can plug the device directly into the AUX connection or use the AUX relocation cord that allows you to put it wherever you want.

I think this is a pretty cool little device, one that I would love to have in my car. It's nice that you don't have to plug anything into your phone to answer your call. The only problem I have with the device is it's battery powered which means you would have to turn it on in order to answer your call and off to prevent running the battery down. I would like a system that was powered by the car that way you would never need to turn the device on or off it would simply turn on and off with the car.

Get Your Own Czechoslovak-polish Amphibious Armored Vehicle only $13,860.39
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 12:50 PM

Have you ever wanted your own amphibious armored vehicle? I have and this Czechoslovak-polish one is a steal for less than $14,000. Now I have to say it's probably not the most practical vehicle and it probably has the worst blind spots considering you only have a little window to look out of, but you don't have to worry about a large SUV running you over anymore. Actually you don't have a lot to worry about at all I don't think a land mine could take this this out. The other problem is how are you going to get it from over seas in the first place. Here is what the post has to say about the vehicle.

"OT-64 are sell in driving order but it needs some work like fluids exchange, fine-tuning, brakes control and in case of need painting. We are eventually able to make all this work.

Most of these are full equipped.

Amphibious armoured 8x8 vehicle of Czechoslovak-Polish production. The Czechoslovaks produced the engines, transmission (both by Tatra) , undercart, the Polish the armour and weapons. In use since 1964 in Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian and other armies."

Lego Printer Uses Felt Tip Pen for Ink!
Tuesday, September 21, 2010 2:29 PM

This has got to be the coolest Lego invention ever. This guy designed, built, and coded it all from scratch including analog motor electronics, sensors and printer driver! He did it just for fun and worked on it for about 3 weeks at night after work. The print was going to have three colors but the inventor had to simplify because he only had four lego motors. The printer can print things at about 75 dots per inch and it prints less than a page per minute.

Back to the Future - T-shirt over at TeeFury
Monday, September 20, 2010 3:33 PM

I happen to be a big fan of Teefury, a website that sells one t-shirt for one day only. There are several other good site similar to TeeFury out there like Woot and RIPT, but as far as my tastes go I have bought more shirts from TeeFury than any other site. TeeFury does it again with this "Back to the Future" t-shirt, featuring the text "I drive at 88 MPH just in case!" I of course thought it was hilarious because i'm a big geek that loves "Back the the Future." What could be better? Well maybe a shirt that said 1.21 Gigawatts, but other than that I can't think of anything.

Turn you iPhone into a Leica
Friday, September 17, 2010 3:31 PM

I have been a fan of photography for a while, so way not sport a high end Lecia look alike on your iPhone. For $13 you can get a nice plastic skin for your iPhone 4 that looks just like a Leica camera. Not only will it protect your phone from scratches, but will look pretty sweet at the same time. For obvious reason the cover doesn't actually have the Lecia logo on it, but it's pretty obvious that it's supposed to look like the legendary German cameras. If you want one just head over to the PetaPixel Store and pick one up.

USB Desktop Aquarium - Holds Your Pens and Fish!
Wednesday, September 15, 2010 10:59 AM

I'm not so sure your fish would want to share their home with a bucket full of pens, but what do they know, they're fish right? If I worked in a cubical I think it would be nice to not only have a fish bowl that had an LCD attached that showed the time as well as the weather. Oh and it comes with a cool little light so the fish don't get scared at night.

Well if you think this is cool you can't have it just yet! It's not available until mid-October so you are just going to have to wait on this one. I wonder if you could keep other things in there other than fish? Like instead of putting water in there put sand and keep lizards in there, that would be unexpected right.

Master Big Chief - Halo T-shirt from RIPT
Monday, September 13, 2010 10:55 AM

I have a couple daily t-shirt websites I visit daily and this one caught my eye. I have been a big fan of Halo since the beginning. I sold my Nintendo game cube in order to buy the original Xbox so I could play the first halo game and have never looked back. Halo Reach, the sixth major release of the halo series, comes out tomorrow and is sure to be a big hit. This shirt from RIPT comes at the perfect time. It's time to pull the shades and call in sick it's halo time!
