"This page intentionally left blank."
Why would anyone put that on a page? As soon as that appears on the page, then it is no longer blank, right? I really don't think a blank page needs an explanation.
I've never seen that but it's quite brilliant. My old avatar used to be a sign whose sole purpose was to warn against its sharp edges.

I do technical writing here in Israel, and I can tell you that the "page intentionally left blank" thing has to do with pagination. It's done to balance the pages in the chapters (so that the beginning of a chapter doesn't start on an even page). And when someone prints the manual, he/she may then think that something is missing ...
