Title: Betty Freidman - The Feminine Mystique

The recent death of Betty Freidman has been a sad departure. Her political and social work in favor of women’s rights and her book The Feminine Mystique left a mark, directly or indirectly practically on everyone in our society.

Freidman lived at a time where women couldn’t get credit by themselves or even apply for a job without their husband’s permission. Times certainly have changed since then and although much work remains to be done a lot has also been accomplished; of what has been achieved a great deal we owe to her.
