Title: Twistor Theory
Quantum field theory and the theory of general relativity are at odds with each other, therefore there is probably another theory that might bring them together. Among candidates one could find string theory or M theory (as it is also called) and loop quantum gravity theory. However a third approach, twistor theory has made a comeback under the auspice and guidance of the theoretical mathematician and astrophysicist Roger Penrose, who presents a persuasive case in favor of twistor theory. His book The Road To Reality: A complete guide to the laws of the universe, is excellent and should be read by anyone who will like to explore the options for a theoretical unification of physics.
