Title: !! Please Read Before Posting !!

Due to the terrible recent events at Virginia Tech, and to the similar
cases that have taken place in the past at other campuses, we at
Blogiversity.org would like to help to avoid any possible future
occurrence of a violent act being carried out on campuses.

Our main purpose will be to help diminish or eliminate the underlying
negative conditions and factors that could lead to acts of
violent behavior on campus. In order to accomplish this goal we
propose the following program through Internet:

1) A space that is part of Blogiversity.org will be set aside where
students can write freely about what they think the problems
related to: loneliness, mental illness, alienation, isolation and
communication and relating skills are, and how they affect their
personal daily life as well as the lives of others, on the campus
where they attend classes.

2) A second forum where students can write articles related
to the topics addressed above and where by the end of the month the
best article (one that helps identify and solve present problems)
will receive a prize donated by Blogiversity.org. We have agreed
to offer three $100 cash prizes to the most useful and insightful
article so this type of catastrophe might be avoided in the future.

3) We invite professors that wish to participate on an occasional
or regular basis in proposing solutions or identifying problems that affect
student life on campus (even a small article could potentially
be of great help)

4) If any professor or student can think of a better way of doing
this we need and appreciate the feedback and are open to any
suggestions.

We appreciate your cooperation with this effort to create and maintain schools and campuses that are mentally healthy student communities.

Sincerely
Blogiversity.org
