Title: The truth about the discovery of electricity
Who really discovered electricity? The answer goes far further back than an American history. Our modern society with our sky scraper and robotic technology has the tendency of believing that all other societies that came before us were not as smart as we are today and thus for could not invent some of the things we have today. However, we are the ones getting dumber because of our technology induced laziness. The Egyptians discovered electricity and depicted by many of their ancient hyroglyphics. Impossible! you might shout, but remember who they were and the time era they came from. They come from a time era where they built buildings that should have been impossible with the given technology. They started written language and at the end of their era they hosted schools for the rest of the world to come and learn. Now with all of that on their resume, do you think it more appropriate that electricity was discovered by Egyptians or an Old Scholar with a key and a kite?
So if the Egyptians discovered electricity, who in particular should be credited with the discovery? I'm sure someone has claimed that they were the real person to discover electricity, right?
Why must we credit one person and not an entire society? It seems we always need to put a name with a discovery. My gripe is with the history books and stories that knowingly neglect the entire history and only makes mention to the american society.
I'll agree with you on that: history books have some major problems. The main problem is that there are always more angles to a story than we get to hear.
My major question is, if the Egyptians discovered electricity, why don't we see some evidence of this in the pyramids? Or any other artifacts of that time. If they had discovered electricity than we would be much farther advanced today don't you think?
