Title: Teotihuacan Pyramid Discovered
In the hill of the Estrella in Iztapalapa close to Mexico City a new very large pyramid was discovered recently.
The structure is about 1500 years old and 150 meters high. The pyramid was constructed by the Teotihuacans who colonized the area during that period.
That is amazing, but how did a structure that large go undiscovered for so long?
The reenacting of the crucifixion of Christ is one of Mexico city most important religious events. It takes place at the Hill of the Estrella in Iztapalapa every year during Easter; precisely is in this Hill where the new pyramid was discovered. According to recent archeological research a Teotihuacan city was build on the Hill together with it’s ceremonial areas. The ancient building and the pyramid’s structure are, amazingly enough, only a few centimeters under the ground of the crucifixion’s rites.
