Title: Man Reaches the Moon

On July 20, 1969 the first men to reach the moon Armstrong and his co-pilot, Col. Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. of the Air Force brought their ship to rest on a level, rock-strewn plain near the southwestern shore of the arid Sea of Tranquility. About six and a half hours later, Armstrong opened the landing craft's hatch, stepped slowly down the ladder and declared as he planted the first human footprint on the lunar crust:
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
His first step on the moon came at 10:56:20 P.M., as a television camera outside the craft transmitted his every move to an awed and excited audience of hundreds of millions of people on earth.
We ought to remember this moment more often.

I am angered by those conspiracy theorists who so adamantly claim that the moon landing of Apollo 11 was a hoax. From camera reflections to shadow patterns to starless night photographs, they uselessly claim that fabricated the entire landing to beat Russia. When will these people learn to leave things alone and just accept the technological marvel and human ambition such a feat required.
Another fun fact about the Apollo 11 moon landing: Buzz Aldrin used a 6-iron golf club to hit the longest shot ever. He was demonstrating the relaxed state of gravity on the moon.

you must sympathize with those conspiracy theorist; its not like we have the most honest government. And how do you explain the waiving flag when clearly there is no win or gravity.

Easily, the relaxed gravity means that an object in motion will stay in motion for much longer on the Moon. When Armstrong and Aldrin put together the flag, they had trouble securing the top part to the main shaft. This struggle produced a lot of movement and when they finished, the flag was still moving. It would remain in motion for some time because they continued to bump into it.
Now seriously, do you think that NASA wouldn't know that there is no weather on the Moon? If they were going to fabricate this entire hoax, do you think they would have let a waving flag do them in? That is ridiculous. The problem with conspiracy theorists is that they don't like feeling duped. They are insecure about their knowledge, and can't stand knowing that someone tricked them into a falsehood. For this reason, they create fantastic stories to explain mundane situations. Some people believe them because almost anything is possible.
