NOTES ON CONSCIOUSNESS
Not all activities of the brain correspond directly to consciousness,
consciousness is an active process caused by the activity of groups of
neural networks, attention and short term memory is involved in consciousness, information in consciousness can be delivered into long term
episodic memory and into the higher planning levels of the motor system that control voluntary movements.
Not all brain activities are related to consciousness is right. For example, dreams are not conscious activities. Neither are the involuntary muscle reactions caused by dreams and nightmares. What other activities of the brain are not related to consciousness?
