This country is a world leader in the steel, aluminum, compact discs and cement industries, very competitive in the manufacturing areas of television, bicycles, motorcycle and toys and finally among the most advanced in the world in the diamond industry.
The economic development of India and the steep growth of its GNP makes it a regional challenge to the economies of China and Japan.
