Title: nanobodies
The efficacy of nanobodies vs antibodies is remarkable. Nanobodies are smaller in size than antibodies and a lot less complex in its chemical composition and shape. Nanobodies can be encoded by a single gene and are easier for microbes to synthesize.
Nanobodies is the variable component of a camel or llama, without the light chains. Nanobodies protein sequences are smaller than the other two heavier and larger protein structures that make up the antibody.
Recent test show that nanobodies are capable of defeating cancer at least in mice. Further test will show if they are capable of yielding the same results in humans. Humans immune system is considerably more complex and it’s response to antibodies can not yet be predicted although positive results are expected.
Nanobodies might bring us closer to winning the war against cancer.
