Title: medicine
In a recent medical study from the university of San Diego California 63 articles, from the period 1966-2004, that considered the relationship in between vitamin D and cancer were evaluated.
According to the results individuals with low levels of vitamin D had higher probabilities of developing cancer than those who didn’t. The head of the research project professor Cedric Garland reminded us that the northeastern states receive less sunlight than most other states from the union.
On the other hand the American Journal of public health in a recent article suggested that deficiency in vitamin D levels could be the cause behind premature reported cancer deaths. The article identifies breast, colon and ovarian cancer as the ones with the strongest link to this vitamin deficiency.
