Title: New Hubble Mission Planned

NASA scientists recently announced that they are planning on adding a shuttle mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope before its decommission. The announcement was met with a standing ovation by those present. The HST has provided amazing photos of the cosmos for 16 years, but is in need of major repairs to continue it's exploration of the universe. The repair mission will allow for another 7 years of activity. The exact date of launch is not rt, but the shuttle Discovery has been designated the task. Astronauts will embark upon a 10-day mission to survey damages, and make necessary changes before heading back to Earth. The decision to make repairs to the Hubble is something that many were pushing for, because it has provided us with so many glimpses into the unknown. It will be hard to say goodbye.
